On 2-18-2012 we had the pleasure of hosting a seminar featuring Rickson Gracie Black Belt Eric Silver. Eric is just one of 8 Americans who earned their Black Belts directly from Rickson. Eric had Bob Hillis a black belt under him accompany him to our school.
Having spent almost 20 years studing under Rickson, Eric has a detailed understanding of Rickson’s Invisible Jiu Jitsu Technigues and he wasn’t shy about sharing them. He worked the group through every position and explained the details of connecting to your opponent and maintaining your base. It was truly an eye opening and very detailed lesson.
I can’t wait to review my 4 pages of notes and get started practicing the drills and adding the details to my Jiu Jitsu game that where taught.
I’d like to thank everyone who came out and supported the seminar. Also I want to thank to Eric and Bob for sharing their knowledge and spending an extra 2 1/2 hours teaching at no extra charge. Both are excellent teachers and representives of Rickson Gracie Jiu Jitsu.
